At Lumina we know how daunting it may seem to purchase a sewing machine over the internet and feel that you won't get the support needed to learn and understand all the features on your new machine.
We warrants our machines to be free of any defects in workmanship and materials under normal use upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth. This warranty is offered solely for the private, non-commercial use of the product.

How to apply the warranty? 

1- Locate the purchase receipt for your machine and the serial number (you can find it in the back sticker label of the machine).
2- With purchase receipt and the serial number in hand, register your machine and send us an email to support@luminasew.com with images + videos of the issue and describing what is occurring with your machine. We will determine if a repair is needed and covered by the warranty. 
3- In the event that there is a manufacturing problem and repair is not possible, we will proceed to replace the machine.
4- If repair is needed, securely package your machine, a copy of your original purchase receipt, and sent your machine via your preferred carrier to the warranty center we will provide you.
5- Once your machine was repaired, save the repair invoice.

We have kept the registration very simple, just complete the form on this page inserting your personal details alongwith the serial number for your new LUMINA sewing machine. We’ll take care of the rest.

Warranty terms

We offer a cast iron 2 year limited guarantee for all customers who buy new machines from the 2023 range. This has been specially developed for our customers – giving you 100% peace of mind when purchasing a Lumina sewing machine in the USA. 
This warranty will be in force only for the periods of warranty duration, specified herein when the product is owned by the original purchaser and is limited solely to the repair or replacement of original parts which, in the opinion of LUMINA, are defective in workmanship or material and which are returned to the Dealer from whom the unit was purchased or to such other point as may be designated by LUMINA..

The liability of LUMINA, shall be limited solely to the cost of the affected part and does not include labor charges. All other costs, including the costs of shipment to the Dealer from whom the product was purchased or to such other point as may be designated by LUMINA, for service or repair under this warranty, shall be those of the purchaser.
Each LUMINA product will be fully checked by an authorized LUMINA Dealer at the time of purchase and said product is to be returned to authorized Dealer or to such other point as may be designated by LUMINA, for all repairs or replacements covered by this warranty. This limited warranty is given subject to the following additional terms and conditions:

- LUMINA, shall be under no obligation to honor any claim under this warranty in the event that said product has been misused, neglected, damaged in transit or has been tampered with in any way or if the specifications supplied by LUMINA, at the time of purchase with respect to proper maintenance and lubrication have not been observed or if the serial number affixed to the machine has been tampered with or defaced or if the original bill of sale, warranty certificate for the machine or other proof of purchase acceptable to LUMINA, is not presented at the time service or repair is sought under this warranty.

- Within ninety (90) days after the date of purchase of said product, the purchaser shall have received from the authorized LUMINA Dealer from whom the machine was purchased, any and all instructions in the use of the product which may be provided by such Dealer.The product must be unplugged from the power source when not in use.

After purchasing this product, please read the following terms of the product warranty carefully.
1) LUMINA guarantees the machine and model detailed below to the buyer, from the date of purchase. It covers the failure of the product in the event of a manufacturing defects, providing repair without charge to the original consumer or replacement of parts, provided that in the judgment of this company external factors have not intervened that could impair its proper functioning.
2) It's an essential requirement to present this guarantee certificate together with the corresponding purchase invoice in order to make use of it.
3) The information provided on the warranty card must be valid, otherwise it will not be valid.
4) After repair, the warranty will be extended for three months due to recurrence of failures or damage to the same accessories or previous parts without failure.

The following cases are not included in the guarantee:
1) The product is not in the warranty period or you cannot make use of it because you do not have the warranty card and corresponding invoice.
2) The product has been revised or repaired, some of its parts changed or its original design modified by anunauthorized person.
3) Due to a malfunction or damage or breakage by natural disasters in any of its forms (water, shock, fire), irresistible factors, improper or abusive use, industrial use or caused by an abnormal voltage (deficiency in the supply current or interconnection).
4) Failure or damage due to improper transportation or storage.
5) The failure caused by not following the use of the instructions in the operation of the "user manual".
6) Failure to carry out the unauthorized disassembiy, repair or alteration of the product.
7) Consumables must be purchased separately, and their replacement is not contemplated in this warranty.
8) The costs of sending and retuming the product, for its technical service, are bone by the user.

NOTICE:
The user assumes the risk of what this warranty does not cover and there is hereby excluded, liability for defects, failure, loss, deterioration, personal injury or damage which are due to (i) ordinary wear and tear or exposure, (ii) misuse, abuse, alteration, negligence, or (iii) the installation of parts other than genuine LUMINA parts or equivalents.

PLEASE NOTE:
In no event shall LUMINA be liable to the purchaser of said machine or to third parties for special or consequential damages, including, but not limited to death or personal injuries. LUMINA does not assume or authorize any person to assume on its behalf, any other obligation or liability other than set forth herein.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights, and the purchaser may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

There are no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose that extend beyond the express warranty described on the face hereof. To the extent, the laws of any state create or recognize any implied warranties for this product, the duration of those warranties shall not extend beyond the duration of the LUMINA limited warranty.

This warranty is not transferable and is in addition to any warranty by the Dealer. LUMINA is not party to and shall not be bound by any other warranty given in connection with the product identified below.
